We get up around 9 o’clock and immediately move to the hut to enjoy a warm breakfast. In the end, however, it turned out to be so beautiful and warm outside today that we don’t need to hide, and we don’t even want to. In addition, this will save us 500 isk, which is not to be thrown away. After breakfast, the warden gives us some not-so-favorable, but still rather uncertain weather news for the upcoming days, so we consider the possibility of setting off without rest to escape another approaching storm. However, after careful calculation, we decide to replenish our forces, as we should have enough time (hahaha).
Let’s start repairing the tent. The situation is not pretty, but we have all the necessary instructions and equipment. The boys take on the task of gluing the broken pole, while i attempt to close all the holes in the fabric. Despite all my artistic skills, it is not an easy job, the material is tearing apart as i sew, not cooperating at all. After a few hours of trial and error, the tent is finally standing, and immediately gets inhabited by a bunch of very enthusiastic folks with the vision of a slightly more comfortable night.
The rest of the day we nap, wash clothes, and take photos for sponsors. We take advantage of the sun and all our solar panels are charging full speed.
We are enjoying dinner with a sunset, and decide to use a drone to capture the beautiful moment. Some of us pay extra for a hot shower again (god knows how long we won’t see another one), and then we get comfy in our tents, which suddenly seem incredibly spacious.
Good night
